CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Fund
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provided economic assistance for American workers, families, small businesses, and industries.
The CARES Act implemented a variety of programs to address issues related to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, including the Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) to assist state, local and tribal governments with expenses related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was passed by Congress on March 25, 2020 and signed into law on March 27, 2020.

American Rescue Plan Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds
The American Rescue Plan continues many of the programs started by the CARES Act by adding new phases, new allocations, and new guidance to address issues related to the continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic. The American Rescue Plan also creates a variety of new programs to address continuing pandemic-related crises, and fund recovery efforts as the United States begins to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic. One of these programs is the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds to assist state, local, territorial, and Tribal governments with their response to Covid-19.
The American Rescue Plan was passed by Congress on March 10, 2021 and signed into law on March 11, 2021.
